Greg Miller, Sugarcreek area resident, spent 1998 zigzagging across the continent to try and see as many species of birds in one calendar year as possible. Greg and two other birders broke the 700 mark! Their individual stories, as well as the interactive competition, are documented in Mark Obmascik’s book, The Big Year (2004). The book made USA Today’s Best Books of 2004 list, the New York Times Best Seller list at #35, and was an Amazon Top 100 Seller for weeks.

TAB (Teen Advisory Board) is a volunteer group of teens that meet regularly to make suggestions for teen programming and library materials as well as assisting with library events.
