Writing Contest:

  "CHANGING LIVES @ YOUR LIBRARY"

In 500 words or less describe how a library has changed your life in one of these four areas:

Family and Friends
Education
Health and Wellness
Job or Career

• Entrants must be 16 years or older.
   

• Submissions may be written in the form of an essay, a narrative, or a poem.
   

• Entries will be accepted August 11, September 20, 2008
                   *No late entries will be accepted.*
   

• One winner from each category will be announced on September 29, 2008.
   

• Winners will receive a $25.00 Certificheck to be redeemed at a variety of businesses throughout Tuscarawas County.

Actor, Comedian Drew Carey credits libraries for the beginning of his comedy career.  When a friend offered to pay him $10.00/joke, he checked out books from the library on how to tell jokes.
