The Knoch Corporation from North Canton will be the general contractor for the Main Library’s renovation and expansion project of the Main Library.
The Knoch Corporation has been around since 1947 and worked on numerous projects including several in Tuscarawas County. The library looks forward to working with Senior Project Manager Eric Binsley and On-Site Superintendent Bob Zwick, as well as the Architect Jamie Shook, Interior Designer Stephanie Shook, and Project Administrator Lou Tostel, all with HBM Architects. The project will be completed in phases and is expected to take 12 months to complete. The library will remain open during the four phases of the project. The library’s North Broadway lot will be open with access into the building through the patio door; handicap parking and door have been relocated. Library programming is expected to continue as usual. The project’s first phase, which is expected to start the week of October 8th, will include the library addition, as well as the library’s new garage and mobile service building. As we break ground and move through the phases, watch for updates on our website and social media.
