Other features include a unique stone pathway, sitting area, and numerous roses, lilacs, shade plants, and a variety of annuals. Dr. C’s Garden — Enjoy over 300 hybrid daylilies at this small garden oasis in New Philadelphia. As you walk around the property, soak in the bold foliage of the multiple canna varieties, sunflowers, gladiolus, irises, rose and annual beds, clematis, and more. Schoenbrunn Village Garden — Wander this historic garden situated in New Philadelphia, which showcases common plants that thrived in the Ohio countryside during the 1700s. Visitors can look forward to exploring key features, including woven fencing and an herbal garden. The gardens at Schoenbrunn Village played a vital role in the community, supplying food, medicine, and the essential stability needed for life on the frontier. Stonehaven Garden — Stroll around the property located near Port Washington to admire the numerous perennials and hydrangeas. This beautiful garden features a pergola, a charming she shed, cast iron fencing and planters, decorative stone, and original sandstone. Unwind in the gazebo or any of the other seating areas while enjoying the soothing sounds of the fountains. Boulevard Berries & Beyond — Visit this garden focused on producing a diverse variety of fruits and vegetables within its limited urban setting. Located in Dover, this property includes an annual vegetables garden, flowers to attract pollinators, as well as various permaculture fruits such as raspberries, nectarines, grapes, and apples. A Secret Garden — Situated in Dover close to the Senior Center, this property contains a delightful array of shrubs, trees, and flowers. Take a leisurely walk along the path to discover a hidden garden in the backyard including vegetable and fruit gardens. As you admire the garden art scattered throughout the grounds, learn about the gardener’s passion for dahlias. Notes for a pleasant tour: 1. Tickets are available for purchase at our five TCPL locations: Main Library in New Philadelphia, Bolivar, Strasburg, Sugarcreek, and Tuscarawas. 2. Once you have your ticket, keep it with you throughout the tour. You will be required to present it upon entry at each garden. 3. Addresses for each garden can be found on the back of your ticket. 4. You may tour the sites in any order you choose, and we hope you stick around to enjoy the wonderful restaurants in the area. 5. Start early so you can visit all of the sites. 6. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, July 13th from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. 7. Please wear shoes you can walk in safely and comfortably. Touring the gardens will involve walking and may involve uneven ground.
