The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will host its 10th Annual 5K, named DINO 5K to celebrate the upcoming Summer Reading Program in 2026 and its theme on Saturday, March 21st. Registration the day of the race begins at 9:00AM and the race officially begins at 10:00AM. The race begins and ends at the Main Library in New Philadelphia, running through Tuscora Park.
“This is a family-friendly 5K, and we hope everyone has fun bringing the theme to life with their outfits and costumes that are safe for a race,” says Emily Price, Public Relations Associate.
The DINO 5K is $30 for adults and $20 for kids (up to 17 years). The race will be professionally timed by Champ Racing, and the awards will go to the top three male, female, and youth who participate.
This year, there will be a new component of race day, including a fun raffle to give away dinosaur-themed water bottles and tote bags. Any participant who registers can be eligible to win raffle prizes.
Runners registered by Saturday, February 14th will be guaranteed a Dino 5K t-shirt. Registration forms are available at all library locations: Main Library & Operations Center (121 Fair Ave NW New Philadelphia), Sugarcreek Branch (120 South Broadway, Sugarcreek), Tuscarawas Branch (209 South Main Street, Tuscarawas), Strasburg Branch (356 Fifth Street SW), and Bolivar Branch (455 West Water Street, Bolivar).
