The Tuscarawas County Art Guild and Tuscarawas County Writers Guild have partnered to present a traveling Fall Reflections: Where Art Inspires Words exhibit.
The exhibit, which pairs original paintings by Art Guild members with short stories and poems created by Writers Guide members will travel to the Tuscarawas County Public Library’s Main Library in October. An art reception with artists and writers will be held on Wednesday, October 7th, from 5:00-7:00 PM.
“The written works were inspired by fall-themed artwork and bring together visual art and creative writing,” said Tuscarawas County Art Guild President Deb Walker. “The October reception is an opportunity to see the traveling exhibit for the first time or to visit it again.”
Guests can enjoy light refreshments while viewing the artwork alongside the pieces it inspired and hear live readings by the authors. The creations by the Art and Writing Guild will remain on display in the Main Library’s Lower Galley throughout the month of October.
Registration is available on the library’s online event calendar at tusclibrary.org or by calling 330-364-4474. The County’s Main Library is located at 121 Fair Ave. NW in New Philadelphia.
