Kids Summer Camps 2025

Books are not the only offerings at the Tuscarawas County Public Library System. The County Library will host a variety of free summer camps across its five locations throughout the summer months. The camps, which provide hands-on learning experiences, are on a variety of topics and run at various times throughout the summer.

“During the summer, it’s a great time to learn a new skill and explore topics by attending day camps,” said Children’s Services Manager Mary Smrek. “This summer, we will offer fun and informative camps for area children and teens to enjoy.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore subjects like art, STEM, cooking, crafting, cosplay, and more. The camps, which vary in length from one-day to a series, are designed for a variety of ages – from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
Smrek said that an aspect that sets apart the County Library camps is that they are free.

“Camps can be expensive, especially when more than one member of the family wants to attend a camp,” said Smrek. “The camps offered at our library system are not only fun and informative, but there is no cost to attend.”

Smrek said library summer camps have limited seats and registration is required. A complete listing of kid camps and teen camps can be found in the library’s programming newsletter on pages 22 and 14, respectively. Programming newsletters are available at each of the five library locations or on the library’s website, www.tusclibrary.org.

Registration for summer camps can be completed online by visiting the library’s event calendar, by stopping into one of the county library system’s five locations, or by calling the Main Library at 330-364-4474, Bolivar at 330-874-2720, Strasburg at 330-878-5711, Sugarcreek at 330-852-2813, or Tuscarawas at 740-922-2748.
