Nellie Stockwell Memorial Grant in Aid

Eligibility Requirements

A graduate of a local high school in Tuscarawas County or a resident of Tuscarawas County. Emphasis is given to those who use the Tuscarawas County Public Library System. (Applicants with a GED will be accepted.) 

  • Recipient may be either a full or part-time student enrolling at an accredited college, university, or technical school including online schools. (A letter of admission or schedule of courses will be required as proof.)
  • Student can reapply at the next available opportunity 

Due Date

A completed application consists of the application, essay, proof of admission, and three letters of recommendation. All information must be submitted by June 1, 2026.

Letters of Recommendation

  2. From a community organization
  3. From an employer or, if not employed, then an additional letter from one of the above categories

Essay

Must submit an original typed essay, written by the student, of no more than 500 words explaining why the Tuscarawas County Public Library is important to them. Good grammar is expected.
